| Come cross the sea with me, the waters are calm and green, our little boat waits by the shore. The noon sun is climbing high, not a cloud in the sky, let's go where we have not before. A thousand islands rise to please the gulls and the olive trees, and moon rise is hours away. We'll sail until sunset, laugh, splash and we'll get wet. Sing with me, smile and pray. |
A picnic lunch in the sun, you and I having fun, where the boulders rise from the sea.
Call out for the breeze, stirring now in the east. Catch the wind and look my way.
We'll make our home tonight, on an island kissed by moon light, where little boats wait in the bay
Explore the village streets, hold my hand, walk with me. Look up, see a million more stars.
Pitch a tent, we will sleep, under the olive trees and wonder how we came so far.
You have held my hand all these years, kissed away many tears.
We turned two dreams into one. Oh, have we just begun?
As we push off from the land, we wonder what God has planned,
Beneath the noon day sun, so much is yet to come.
Sailing the sea with me, the waters so calm and green, our little boat drifts from the shore.
The noon sun is climbing high, not a cloud in the sky, let's go where we have not before.
